Friendships, when do you make them?

Friendship comes in all shapes and sizes, but you can never predict when you’re going to make one. It’s my opinion that the strongest friendships you can make are with individuals whom you’ve gone through the trials of life with. Sure, we bond over the jolly moments of life, but through vulnerabilities we develop trust in one another.

Trust is the most important ingredient in good friendships.

I’ve come to the conclusion that the best friendships are made during the high school and college days. Why? Because we’re all trying to figure ourselves out, screwing up along the way, and counting on one another. Once you get into the working world, it’s about proving yourself and not letting anyone see your weaknesses. It’sa not impossible, but it’s much harder to develop good friendships.

No vulnerabilities = no way to develop trust with one another 😦
