The Art of Cooking

The art of cooking is about finding the right ingredients, sharpening your knife skills, enlightening your cooking methods, perfecting the presentation of your creations, etc… Yet there’s one important aspect that isn’t part of the cooking process, and that aspect is:

An overall sense of enjoyment and accomplishment.

The sense of enjoyment can be read from your guests’ actions, as the slight head nods and mild exclamations of “mmmm” suggest approval of the plated masterpieces that’s in front of them. This in turn, brings forth a senes of accomplishment to the creator of the culinary masterpieces.

Sure I find cooking fun and exciting, see my cooking blog, but it’s the sense of enjoyment expressed by my dinner guests that makes it all worthwhile.
